Trunks Needed
When: Friday, October 23, 2026
When: Trunk Set up 4:30pm - 5:30pm
Trick or Treating 5:30pm - 7:30pm
No RAIN DATE
All trunks are required to provide their own festive decorations as well as treats to pass out the night of. All trunks must register with the Bolton Recreation Department no later than Friday, October 16, 2026

All ages are welcome to join in this event! Bolton Recreation Department will provide the space and stake for the scarecrow. Each business/family/group will receive a number in which your scarecrow will be placed on. Set up will be set for the weekend of October 2-4.
Cost: $20.00
Contest rules
1. All scarecrows must be stuffed, no full bodied mannequins
2. Business, Family and/or group must provide all materials that are needed
3. Scarecrows will be judged by their materials, creativity, construction, and theme
4. No violent themes will be tolerated
5. Must be able to transport the scarecrow without driving across the lawn
6. Size of scarecrow must not exceed 6 feet in height

SPOOKY STORIES AT INP

Time: 4:30-6:00pm
Where: Indian Notch Park, 60 Tolland Rd.
Cost: Free
Join the Bolton Recreation Department and Bentley Memorial Library for a fun evening of stories and s’mores!
Storytelling starts at 5:00pm

SEPTEMBER SUNSET PADDLE

Time: 5:30-7:00pm
Where: Indian Notch Park, 60 Tolland Rd.
Cost: $5
Join the Bolton Recreation Department and Karen Cordero for a beautiful sunset paddle! Meet at Indian Notch Park and paddle around the Bolton Lake for the evening and enjoy the views. You MUST wear a flotation device. Please let the department know if you do NOT have your own kayak, there are limited kayaks available to borrow from the department.
