The Bolton Summer Camp Leader in Training (LIT) program is designed for those ages 14 - 15. A LIT’s major role at camp is to be actively involved in all camp activities, working with staff and acting as an enthusiastic responsible role model for our campers. LIT’s must apply for this role at our camp as well as participate in a preseason interview.
This program was not designed for those who are interested in simply hanging out with their friends for the summer. The purpose of this program is to learn general job skills as well as specific job requirements of counselors. All LIT’s are expected to arrive to camp and act as if they were working at a job. LIT’s will join the camp on any scheduled field trips, however they will be expected to assist staff, not join campers on the field trip activities.
If you are interested in becoming a LIT, complete the application and return to the Bolton Recreation Department.
Applications will be reviewed on a first come first serve basis. You will be notified via email to schedule your preseason Interview/trainings.
Please feel free to contact the recreation department at (860)649-8066 X6109 or scrane@boltonct.gov if you have further questions.
All Leader in Training applications are due no later than May 19 2025.
LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
