Scarecrow Contest 2026

All ages are welcome to join in this event!

Bolton Recreation Department will provide the space and stake for the scarecrow. Each business/ family/group will receive a number in which your scarecrow will be placed on. Set up will be set for the weekend of October 2-4. All Scarecrows must be on the Town Green in front of 222 Bolton Center Road on your stake by the end of the weekend. Scarecrows will be left up for the community to see until the weekend of November 1st. Judging and voting will be taken during this time at Town Hall with prizes for the top winners at the end.

Cost: $20.00

Contest rules
-All scarecrows must be stuffed, no full bodied mannequins
-Business, Family and/or group must provide all materials that are needed
-Scarecrows will be judged by their materials, creativity, construction and theme
-No violent themes will be tolerated
-Must be able to transport the scarecrow without driving across the lawn
-Size of scarecrow must not exceed 6 feet in height
